According to the Department of Justice, there are approximately 800,000 missing children cases. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has aided in the recovery of abducted children since its inception and continues to assist missing and exploited children through its many initiatives, programs, and organizations.
Aiming to keep children safe and in their homes, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children utilizes the help from the public and law enforcement agencies to continue their mission: to prevent child abduction and sexual exploitation; help find missing children; and assist child victims and their families.
