The Center for Child Protection and Family Support is a non-profit Washington D.C.-based organization. The Center for Child Protection and Family Support provides many different child abuse services. They provide children who have been exposed to abuse or neglect with different forms of therapy treatments, including group therapy, play therapy, and individual counseling.
The Center for Child Protection and Family Support has developed child abuse services that are aimed at increasing professionals' child abuse awareness. The Center trains teachers, doctors, police officers, and social workers how to recognize and deal with child abuse. They will provide varying professionals with a wide range of different information.
For example, if they are training police officers, then they may focus on how to successfully conduct a child interview. On the other hand, if they are training teachers, then they may focus on the proper way to handle a student who has been subjected to abuse. They create and distribute various brochures in order to raise child abuse awareness.
The Center for Child Abuse Protection and Family Support accepts donations so that they are able to continue to provide many of their child abuse services to families free of charge. People who are interested in helping their cause may also choose to volunteer at the Center.
