After the question of paternity has been revealed and paternity test results are in, it is important for that birth father to continue to become familiar with his parental rights. The first right that a father has, if they do have any paternity questions, is to request paternity results by taking another paternity test.
Furthermore, if the paternity results come in and answer the paternity questions that they have concluding that they are that child's biological father, there are a new set of rights that are earned. After the paternity test has determined that they are, in fact, the father, they now have the right to establish paternity in the legal court registry, as well as the right to file for child custody.
